Summer in Alaska is short. I returned from a short work-cation in Anchor Point Alaska a short while ago. It was wonderful to take advantage of the change of scenery, beauty and mystery I find there.
The Cook Inlet and the view of Mt. Redoubt (one of several active volcanoes here) across the Inlet are breathtaking. Anchor Point is, in fact, the inspiration for Ravens Cove.My second novel in the Ravens Cove series is in very rough draft. I am now at the stage I least like – editing. So, wish me luck as I dive into the book and work out the roughness. A finished novel seems so easy to read that it belies the struggle it takes to bring it to a finished product. Knowing the struggle ahead, I have avoided it. No longer. I am diving in.
