Although I write Christian books with a paranormal bent, and although my favorite books to read are paranormal suspense (my shelves are filled with Steven King and Frank Peretti), I also enjoy reading other genres as time permits.
I recently read Trails-Living in the Alaska Wilderness by Warren Troy. This is an engaging tale of one man's search for his destiny – in both the physical and psychological sense. From the moment the main character, Denny Caraway, shows up in the fictional town of Hazel, the reader is pulled headlong into the adventure of homesteading in the Alaska wilderness. Troy weaves a masterful yarn that will leave you laughing and crying. At the end of this wonderful tale I was left with only one question: "Is there a sequel?" I highly recommend this book.
Trails is available in both hard copy and eBook versions. It is online at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
